You can extract the images from QTVR file by following 2 steps -
Step 1
Drag the movie file into the empty conversion area.
The cube face images will be automatically extracted and represented as a "folder of cube faces" in the middle of the conversion area. The info panel on the right will show the dimensions of the cube face images.
If the movie is a multinode movie, you can choose the node to extract by selecting from the "Node" popup menu in the info panel.
Step 2
To export the cube face images for use in another program, you can click the "Save As..." button and select "Folder of Cube Faces" from the file dialog, or you can simply drag the folder icon out of the conversion area to where you want it copied to on disk.
An easy way to extract the source image from a pano is to open the .mov with Corel PhotoPaint. Under the Edit menu choose Copy to File and save as a
Photoshop doc. Done.
The version (8) won't open a cubic, and it has a difficult time with extra large panos.
They were selling PhotoPaint for Mac dirt cheap. The ability to open a QuickTime file is the only good thing about the application.
I wish Photoshop could do that.
