First Refresh preferences >>
restart Bridge holding down option key and out off the three options,
choose refresh preferences.
Reset the preferences to your wishes and restart bridge again.
Check if it has resolved the problem.
If not try the hard way by deleting the Adobe Bridge Plist file manually from your users library preferences folder.
The scripts Bridge scripts folder (Library>Application Support>Adobe>Bridge CS3>Startup Scripts) is empty. How do I get them back?
That is normal behavior, most of the scripts are in the script folder under presets in the application folder itself.
(edit: and in the root library folder application support as I forgot to mention but it is a little tricky to play around with it I think...)
Have you tried deleting the Bridge plist file and have you tried to create a new user just to check of this solves the problem.
