    Exclamation Lan Pop Up Msgs

    HI, does anyone know a program that i can send random pop up messages to pple telling them of upgrades happening to the systems etc, so that they can log off and bare with us etc.

    yes, the only problem is that the program then has to be installed on everyones computer, and i was just wondering if there is a program that i can send a pop up message to someone saying ti comes from administrator.

    No...! Its not an installation, its just an exe file copy it to each computer and run it...! All done...!

    Use windows in built feature if you are using a server...If not you can go to task manager then go to network users connected then right click on each user and send message... well i'm not into it too deep...! All the best... Use Google...!

    If you want to send the popup messages over your local area networked PCs, then you may use LinPopUp
    LinPopUp is the classic windows messenger style thingy.

    LinPopUp mimmicks the classic interface to windows messeging ( a clone of winpopup the graphical interface to net send in windows).
    If the messenger service is enabled on a windows machine, they can recieve the messages you send via Linpopup.
    Additionally you can probably shell script out a bit for the use of smbclient (smbclient -M <machinename> does a similar thing as linpopup).
    But this is all pending on whether or not the messenger service is actually running.
    In the windows world some might consider this to be a vulnerability or a source of annoyance.
