Printing Screens

I am trying to take a snap shot of my logon screen. Can anyone help me out with this?

I have tried printscreen key and they paste it to a word document, hit ctrl v. nothing happens. I know there is a way, i just don't know it.

You cant, caused by security things i cant explain to you. Use the "Switch User" screen to make a screenshot.

Thing = Secure desktop; which prevents malicious wares from spoofing a fake login screen and/or attaining sensitive data. AFAIK, anyways. I don't know how people take the shots of their login screens other than perhaps using a preview from an external program or something similar.
