Procedure to remove pcoufin.sys from the computer, if the uninstall failed :

    1). On c:\windows\system32\drivers, remove pcoufin.sys

2). On the registry, you've to delete this following entry :

    HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\pcouffin

    Reboot your computer...

Low-level CD-ROM driver installed by ConvertXtoDVD, is buggy and makes your system BSOD with PFN_LIST_CORRUPT 0x000004E error. Get rid of this software, there are hundreds of alternatives, besides an AVI-encoding application has no rights to start screwing with low-level cdrom drivers.

Any malware can be named anything - so you should check where the files of the running processes are located on your disk. If a "non-Microsoft" .exe file is located in the C:\Windows or C:\Windows\System32 folder, then there is a high risk for a virus, spyware, trojan or worm infection.
