ThumbsUp How do i record cassettes to burn to cds

    Hello Guys,

I would like to record my cassettes to cd from my stereo and would like to burn them into cds. Can any one tell me how can i do so? I would also like to have some good quality sound in it? Is it possible for me that while converting my cassettes to cd i would get some good quality sound? Can any one guide me the proper way of doing it? Any help on it would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Connect Your Cassette Tape Player To Your Computer

The first thing it does is to guide you through the process of actually hooking up your cassette tape, reel-to-reel, or 8-track to your computer. A friendly voice assistant guides you through the process with questions and images. Once you get it hooked up, the Recording Level Wizard helps you automatically get the perfect recording level so that you don't record too low or too 'hot' with distortion.

    Record Your Cassette Tapes

Take the first cassette off your old stack and put it in your tape deck. Rewind it and then click "Record". Press the Play on the tape player and the software will automatically record. When side one is done, the friendly voice assistant will ask you if you want to record side two.

When you are done recording, just click "Stop". The software will automatically trim out the silence and split your recording into tracks.

How To Record LP To CD, cassette tape to CD

    The following is the step-by-step:

    1. Click Record A Vinyl LP button.

    2. Since this is the first time you are going to record, you are going to run the Recording Level Adjustment Wizard to get the best Recording level. So, please click Level Wizard button and select the correct recording source as Analog Mix (Line/CD/Aux/TAD/PC).

    3. Click the Start button to begin the wizard. Spin it Again will have you play the loudest part of the record so that it can get to best level. After 30 seconds of good audio, the wizard will stop and you can click the close button.

    4. Click Record button to start recording.

    5. Put the needle on the record and the software will record. The software will automatically pause recording after 30 minutes, if set. At last click the stop button to end recording.

    6. Then the software will now preview the start and end of all tracks. if the recording is pretty scratchy. let's add a click and pop reduction effect! Just click the cleaning & Effect drop down to select Just Clicks & Pops, then you can listen to the cleaned up version, then you will feel much better now.

    7. Let's adjust the start of the track, please click Zoom In button, and click Next button, you can enter in the artist, album, genre, year, comments and back names for this recording. Then, click the next button, in a new window, click Burn Audio CD button, here, yuu can set up your CD recorder, burn speed and other options (if desired).

    8. Then continue click next button to start the burning process. That is all, enjoy your CD in your car or home CD player.

Spin It Again is a good software that allows you to convert your cassettes to cds. It's easy to use and there's a Free 7 day trail too so you can see for yourself how it works.

Its so easy to transfer cassettes and LP's to CD with this software. There's even a voice to take you through each stage.

    • Automatic track detection and silence removal splits your albums into tracks ready for your iPod, MP3 or CD player
    • Automatically removes old record clicks, pops and tape hiss
    • Create audio CDs and/or convert recordings to MP3, OGG, WMA, and hi-fi WAV files
    • Split up previously recorded MP3s, WAVs, WMAs or OGGs into multiple tracks or burn to CD.
    • Burn tracks longer than one CD's worth. For example, if you wanted to record a 4-tape audio book, it would burn it over as many CDs as it needed.
    • Includes Print your own CD labels software

Re: How do i record cassettes to burn to cds

Golden Records is software that helps you to convert your vinyl LP records, audio tapes or cassettes onto CD or to wav or mp3 files. It is designed specifically with records and cassettes in mind and has been developed to make the conversion process as easy and intuitive as possible. Just install the software and follow the step-by-step wizard.

This software does more than just rip audio from LPs or cassettes. Also included are a number of audio restoration tools that can be automatically applied to the vinyl or cassette that is being converted as it is being saved to a wav or mp3. Once your tracks have been converted you can burn them straight to CD with Golden Records' own CD Burner, edit your favourite tracks with WavePad Audio Editing Software or make your own audio mix with MixPad Audio Mixing Software.
