    Removing MSN Messenger From Outlook Express

    Hello friends,

    My Outlook Express has install MSN messenger and I am not able to remove it.Can anyone help me out witht this issue it would be great fro me.

    Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 Ghz
    Gigabyte G31 with Intel Chipset
    512 mb RAM
    80gb HDD

    Sure i will help you out with this issue try to follow the below things;-

    1. Click on Start.
    2. Click on Control Panel and then goto Add/remove Program.
    3. Now remove the MSN messenger from there.
    4. reboot your PC for changes to get effected.

    I tried to do the above mentioned things but it didn't worked out for me.Any other solution for fixing this issue.

    Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 Ghz

    I was also facing such kind of issue i try to follow the below steps and it worked for me hope it will work for you too.

    1. Click on Start.
    2. Type regedit in Run Option.
    3. Registry Window would get open and now navigate to the following location.

      • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express

    4. Now Right click on the Outlook Express folder, click on New, click DWORD value, and name the new registry key Hide Messenger.
    5. Right click on the Hide Messenger key which you have created and on click Modify. In the Value data box, type 2 and click OK.

    Follow the steps to disable the Windows Messenger from starting with the Outlook Express:

    1. Open Outlook Software.
    2. Click Tools tab and select options.
    3. Uncheck the box "Automatically log on to Windows Messenger"
    4. Click Apply.
    5. Click OK.
