Problem installing directX 10

Here I bought the game Microsoft Flight Simulator X, I install and when I start I will put error message: "Flight Simulator can not run because the version of Microsoft DirectX (R) installed on the computer is not compatible. reinstall DirectX 9.0 by running the installation program for Flight Simulator, or download the current ver sion siter from www.microsoft.com / directx. "and when I download directX 10 and I install it brings me to the error message: "Setup has detected that one or more DirectX component files are used by an application. applications Quit all before restarting the installation of DirectX . I think I should install DirectX but I can not if someone has a solution for my problem, it can do by myself.

No. You can't. DX10 doesn't work in XP. End of story. No crack/patch is gonna change that. The components of DX10 were built from scratch and they differ so much from those of DX9 that they couldn't be written for XP, therefore it won't work in XP..

When using DirectX 10 for Windows XP, you "might" encounter problems when playing old games or games that doesn't support DirectX 10. We wouldn't want to keep on installing and uninstalling DirectX, so here is another useful tool by KM-Software which can be used to change the DirectX version on our computer.
