xp booting directly to Documents and Settings???

    Hi,

    First time poster.....

All of a sudden XP is booting directly to (and opens) the Documents and Settings folder. I don't see this in the start up file. Would someone help me out by suggesting how to stop this and perhaps what happened to have started this in the first place?

Thanks, in advance, for any help.

Do you mean to say that when your windows XP loads, it shows directly Documents and Settings folder instead of your desktop. How is this possible This can never happen. Any computer can either login to desktop or can never login. Check if anyone has set the snapshot of your Documents and Settings folder as your desktop wallpaper

    JonathanD,

    Thanks for your reply.

It is not wallpaper as there are no icons on top of the screen. Once XP is fully booted, I'm in my documents and settings screen and it is fully functional.. ???
