unable to open yahoo messenger

Hi,

I'm unable to open yahoo messenger. i wanted to uninstall and then reinstall but it wouldn't uninstall. i getting a message 'not responding'. please help this is really frustrating me here.

Go to your Yahoo Messenger folder in your Programs file, and go to Uninstall.

And it won't fully uninstall if it's open so just make sure in Task Manager the yahoomessenger.exe is not running

You can try to uninstall Yahoo messenger and reinstall it again without any firewall enabled and without any antivirus on.

Sometimes these softwares block the full installation of the package.

Also before starting the new installation watch the task manager if there is still yahoomessenger.exe and if there is end process.

If again there is a problem with Yahoo, try to find the older version 8,0 and install it. Probably it will work without any problems...

• In internet explorer , Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
• Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN settings.
• Select the Use a proxy server for your LAN check box.
• In the Address box, type the address of the proxy server.
• In the Port box, type the port number.
• If your network requires separate proxy addresses for different services, such as HTTP, HTTPS, or FTP, click the Advanced button, and then type the individual proxy server addresses to use.
• When you are finished making changes, click OK until you return to Internet Explorer.
• Or go to advanced menu and used default.
• Restart Tour PC. Messenger should work now. Good luck
