No video in VLC

I don’t know whats wrong with my vlc . I have tried reinstalling divx,my xvid codec but my playr not working fine.audio is working but no display. It made no any change that which video file is i am trying to run result is no display please help me to find problem i am using windows vista.thank you

what i will say is just start pc in safe mode uninstalled it and install again its might happen due to corrupt files.also try with deleting preferences and cache.
and also check for the file which you trying to play is not corrupt.

for vlc there is issue for 64bit so just uninstall directx and reinstall it and check for video card compatible drivers this may work for you
