    Change fonts in Outlook 2007

    Hello Everyone,

How do you change the fonts in Outlook 2007 Mail folders? They are so small I can't read them.

    Any Suggestions!

Select the text that you want to format.
On the Home tab, in the Font group, type or click a font in the Font box.

Keyboard shortcut To change the font, press CTRL+SHIFT+F.

Outlook requires you to change the fonts, including the text size and style (italics, bold...) of the fonts, for each view individually. The general procedure is pretty simple. Here are the general steps for changing fonts in a view:

    • Open the Customize View dialog box. You can usually get to it by right-clicking an empty section of the view and selecting Customize Current View in the shortcut menu that appears. You can also get to it from the View menu. Click View, then Arrange By, then Custom.
    • Click Other Settings to open the Other Settings dialog box and customize the main fonts in the view.
    • Click Automatic Formatting to open the Automatic Formatting dialog box and enter settings for various types of items that may appear in this view. These settings override the ones you set in the Other Settings dialog box.
    • Click Format Columns (if visible) to open the Format Columns dialog box and adjust the format, width, and alignment of the columns in the view.

You can set your desired font size: Tools => Options => Mail Format => Stationary/Fonts

But you have to change your mail settings so that all your incoming mails are in plain text:
Tools => Trust Center => E-mail Security => Read all standard mail in plain text

Have tried all the replies but none of them work or resolve the issue of small fonts in the FOLDER COLUMN as was originally posted by someone else

Unfortunately everyone appears to be looking at the wrong area.
What I and some others want to do is change the font in the "Tree view" control area of the left side column titled -Mail, Mail folders , All mail items.
It appears that the program doesn't allow this or can this be done- does Microsoft have the answer?

    1. In Mail, on the View tab, in the Current View group, click View Settings.
Tip: To open the Advanced View Settings dialog box, right-click the message list heading where Arrange By appears, and then click View Settings.
    2. Click Other Settings.
    3. Under Column Headings and Rows, click Row Font.
    4. In the Font dialog box, click the font, font style, and size that you want to use.
    5. On the Font, Other Settings, and Advanced View Settings dialog boxes, click OK.
