DAEMON Tools not working

I am trying to get DAEMON Tools work on my computer but it is not working. I'm using Vista x64, and this is the Vista x64 version. When I try to run, I get this message,

Initialization error 7.
This program requires at least Windows 2000 with SPTD 1.37 or higher.
Kernel debugger must be deactivated.

Why is this happening? What is kernel debugger, and how do I deactivate it so that DAEMON Tools can work fine?

Yes there is a problem with daemon tools in vista,
I used the lite version of daemon tools and then it worked fine.

I had a similar problem. It related to using Deamon Tools Lite with Vista Ultimate. I upgrade to DT Pro, problem solved. I have all the Vista updates installed though. You might want to report the app problem via control panel. I've found that you actually get useful info back from MS lots of times.

This warning is displayed to everyone one time during the install process. Are you seeing this message at bootup? What anti-virus software are you running (try to disable it as well as any debugers or special programming tools)?

Try to re-install Daemon Tools.
If it still doesn't work, un-install SPTD layer, reboot, delete complete SPTD key in HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services hive (run regedit), then re-install SPTD layer v1.45 first , reboot, and re-install Daemon Tools.

yesterday I came across same problem I reinstalled lite and then downloaded pro then same problem.. then after a recent install of pc tools spyware doctor also yesterday I turned it off to see what would happen and HEY presto it works again but when I turn Pc tools back on the same problem.

It's also found in windows xp (sp3).
pls any solution for fix tihs problem,B'cos its very urgent to solve those type of error for many more 'PC guys'.
