Itune Download or install problem with Xp home

I am having this problem while I try to download the Itunes to my computer.
I have windows XP home installed.
The problem is while downloading it says this!
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWS/CURRENTVERSION/SHAREDDlls"
Please help!

According to me you have a problem with your windows update!
Install service packs and critical updates for your Windows XP operating system.

Well I think its a problem because its not being able to register the software on your machine & shows you the registry not the error.
Are you logged in as a administrator? & Do You have rights to install a software to that machine? Check this first.

Looks like a permissions issue. How are you logged on? Are you admin, power user, or what?

just turn off all WinXP security features, as well as your own. Make sure you have administrative rights, even uninstall SP2 for now if you have to (this is necessary if you have an iPod, if not, screw iTunes)

I found found a way that worked for me. I am posting this so others with this problem may find a solution. I simply went to:

and follwed the instructions. It allowed me to install iTunes.
