"Intel continues to develop open-source operating system intended to solve Netbook and MID, which now publishes the first alpha version"
If so appointed Netbook represent the phenomenon of the moment and certainly in between 2009, Intel is confident that soon the MID (Mobile Internet devices) will make their appearance and success will be at least comparable. Precisely in this perspective, the giant American leader in the development of CPU, continues to believe strongly in the Moblin project, the operating system designed ad hoc to meet the needs of a MID.
New features introduced in Moblin 2, which, based on Fedora, are also meeting the wishes of many users of Netbook: the official release note is made of technology "fastboot", intended to speed up the time startup, as well as a network manager with custom development for interface graphics.
The new distribution of Moblin for Netbook and MID can be downloaded.Intel provides a live image from 280MB that can be easily mounted on USB key and start.
