Windows Media Player DVD/CD Burning Problem!!!! Help!!!

I have encountered a pretty big problem. As I continue to try to burn dvd's or cd's using Windows Media player or even iTunes, I am completely unsuccessful. I know for sure that there is a problem because in iTunes I receive a messages that reads "Disc Burner or Software Not Found!". I am positive this is the same problem that I am experiencing with Windows Media Player but I have no idea what to do. I tried looking up a fix online already but all I found was a program called Daemon Tools that I tried to download and was unsuccessful. Also not only to blank CD's not register but also any regular Data CD's I try to put into my computer.

If anyone could please help me I would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Thanks guys!!!

This is a hardware problem! Try this : insert a blank CD and not DVD in the drive. Open the drive, and see if it shows 702 MB free. if it doesn't your DVD-RW is faulty. if it shows the free space, burn any data onto it using default windows burning utility. if everything goes well, reinstall your CD/DVD Burning software, else, replace your DVD-RW...! All the best!

I downloaded that and it didnt work...What did you do after you downloaded the program? It just worked as soon as you installed the program? Not the case for me.

Its an hardware issue for sure. If your DVD-RW is under warranty, you can get a replacement/repairing done for free from the manufacturer's service center. If its warranty period expired, you need to buy a new DVD-RW.
