Do a registry cleaning of your system: http://forums.techarena.in/tips-tweaks/533699.htm

Wasn't sure if you had a restore disk or not. This would just be a quick option to restore it to default settings.

The repair option would save most of your settings/files where this would not.

You may also have to change your boot order in the bios ...but you need to boot from the cd ...enter (to boot from cd)....it will start to load files... enter to install ...f8 to agreement ...then should look for previously installed os ...when it finds xp, options will be to repair ("R") or new install ..."R" for repair ...will look like new install, but all files and programs will stay installed.

Normaliz.dll has something to do with Windows Media Player 11 and/or Windows Internet Explorer 7. Normaliz.dll will NOT be on your XP CD as XP comes with WMP 9 and Internet Explorer 6. And no, not even a compressed version of Normaliz.dll is on the XP CD.

I have XP Pro SP2 with IE6 and WMP9 and I do not have Normaliz.dll anywhere on my machine.
