    Re: Winzip question

You can open the Winzip program, use the arrow keys to find the folder that has the zipped file.

(details about using the arrow keys to move around your computer's files is in the 'downloading from the Internet' tutorial)

Click on the file name (to highlight) and choose "Open".

Winzip will show you a screen that shows what's actually inside the zipped container.

There may be several files inside one zipped file.

Then, click on the "Extract" button.

The next screen will let you search through your computer to choose the folder that you want to place the unzipped file in.

The default is to put the files in your 'C:Windows\Temp' folder, that's okay, you will have to go look for them there, that's all.

When you have clicked on the folder that you want your unzipped files to be placed in, then click the "Extract" button. That's it, your unzipped files will be in the folder you have chosen.

    Re: Winzip question

Step 1. Double click on the zipped file. Winzip® will open automatically. You will be able to see all the files inside the zip.
Step 2. Click on Extract on the toolbar at the top and a window will pop up where you can choose which folder to use to send the file(s) to. If you need to, you can make a new folder by clicking on the New Folder button. Otherwise, choose the folder you want and make sure its listed in the Extract to box.
Step 3. If you want to extract all the files, make sure Select all files is marked, then click on the Extract button. If you only want to extract some of the files, highlight them in the Winzip® window, and Selected Files button will be marked instead.
Step 4. Close Winzip® and open the folder where you sent the files and open them in the usual way.
