    To back up 720p

Using VLC now, but feels like it does not really handle the playback of 720p mtrl 100% IGT.

So which player would you recommend? And the codecs for this player?

So, what are you trying to play in the resolution? H.264? wmv10? MPEG2?
You can have Media Player Classic.

Got for MPC and CoreAVC, was fine. But ffdshow gives much better picture than coreavc and is also free.

Or Media Player Classic - Home Cinema, which has everything you need built in, and provides a good opportunity to let the graphics card do the job.

Can ffdshow use of multi-core Proc now? Has for me it was a problem with it, found it when I Lusk of why VLC was so bad that the Apple's HD trailers in comparison with Quicktime, when it was said that ffdshow which uses the VLC failed to run the decoding of two or more cores.
