Oh....So the culprit was TDSS.serv. Its great that you figured out and solved the problem. What is appreciable is that after solving your issues you posted the solution here which will be helpful for others having same problems.

While trying to find the source of it through online searches, I came across some other boards and websites that mentioned it could be TDSS, I reread JoshGreifer's log, and sure enough he listed TDSS.

I looked for it on my system and there it was.

Luckily it can be disabled enough that you can search for, download and install software that removes it.

I was just curious as I couldn't find it on my Vista Home Premium system - thought I was missing out on something!

After your reply I found it mentioned in the F-Secure site as a rootkit. Brrrrr!
