DropBox: storing files into the system

DropBox, an online service that allows you to store files remotely opens its doors officially. The service is actually longer restricted to certain users picked, but intends to Mr everyone, though still in beta phase.

Coupled with an application for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux available from the site Getdropbox.com service, to take advantage of storage space available directly from its operating system. To do this, simply download the application and create a free account with the latter. A dossier (Dropbox) is then created on your computer, it will automatically sync with the remote storage space. A dossier (Dropbox) is then created on your computer, it will automatically sync with the remote storage space. Of course, you also have the possibility of transferring files manually. In the absence of its computer, the user may still find its files by logging on the site of Dropbox with his login and password.

Note that Dropbox also functions file-sharing. For this, a system invitation is established. It is also possible to share files with everyone by placing them in the directory "Public" Dropbox. In basic version free, DropBox however, is limited to "only" 2 gigabytes of disk space. The pay offer is limited to 50 GB for U.S. $ 9.99 per month or 99.99 U.S. dollars per year.

A good idea is a simple FTP access for everyone.
But it might not be transferred to full FTP hackers?
