I found it on a website and thought it might help you. Just take a look at these links.

I don't think there is any such software available which can convert DVD video to PowerPoint compatible file format. There are software's that converts powerpoint files to dvd video but not vice versa.
How can I Put PowerPoint on a DVD?
This might help you.
Why don't you figure out what file format is supported by microsoft powerpoint!
Let me tell you it supports following file format
1. avi: - Supported
2. flv (Flash) : - Flash is not natively supported, but can be accomplished with the aid of directions from Macromedia
3. mov (QuickTime) upported up to version 3 on PC, All versions supported on Mac
4. mpg: - MPEG1 is supported, MPEG2 is not supported on PC or Mac
5. rm (RealMedia): - Not Supported on Mac or PC
6. wmv (WindowsMedia): - Supported on PC, Not supported on Mac
Therefore according to me avi is the best file format.
You just need to download any free dvd file converter
Note: Dvd file format is VOB.
So you need a converter or ripper to convert files from .VOB to avi.
Now you can easily put your video into your powerpoint presentation.
Modifier, I think you didn't read my question properly.
If yes than please provide me some software's
