    Simple solution -
1)Just click insert menu, find "Movies and Sounds"
    2) Click "Movie from file"
3)Browse and double-click the video file you want to embed into the powerpoint file.
    Thats it.

ThumbsUp Put video into PowerPoint presentation

Steps to put video into PowerPoint presentation ( for PowerPoint 2003, 07 is similar with it):
    1. Insert menu -> Movies and Sounds -> Movie from File.
    2. Double click the video you want to insert.
    3. After you click OK, you're prompted with a message asking “how you want the movie to start in the slide show.”
Click “Automatically” to play the movie automatically when you go to the slide.
Click “When Clicked” to play the movie when you click.

Email the PowerPoint presentation with video
Videos are linked to PowerPoint presentation, when you Email the PowerPoint presentation, the linked video will not be shown.
    Solution 1:
    1. Put the video files and the PowerPoint presentation in a same folder.
    2. Reinsert the video file to the PowerPoint presentation.
    3. Package the entire folder into one archive file and send it to others.
Solution 2 - embed video, reduce file size for email:
Convert your PowerPoint presentation to Flash use some third party presentation tools, PowerPoint to Flash Converter, for instance. Alll the video files will be embedded in the presentation, also, the presentation will have smaller file size, which is ideal for email. You can send the Flash-based presentation to your friends and different computers.

Re: To put video clips into Power point presentation

Open your PowerPoint presentation and go to the slide you want the video clip to play.
On the Insert menu, point to Movies and Sounds, and then click Movie from File. Choose the video you want to use and then click OK.
PowerPoint does not include the video in the actual presentation file (.PPT). It only creates a link. It's a good idea to put the movie file in the same folder as your PowerPoint presentation. If you later move the PowerPoint presentation to another PC or folder, copy the movie too. Keeping your movie in the same folder as your presentation guarantees that the link will still work. If you plan on distributing copies of your presentation, you should consider using the Package for CD command on the PowerPoint File menu.
