    backup problem: "MSDEWriter" has reported an error 0x800423f4

    sertting: windows server 2003 standard edition x64 + mssql 2000 sp4
    problem: if I select files plus system state, the backup fails. If they are
    backup seperately, it's ok

    error message:

    Backup Status
    Operation: Backup
    Active backup destination: File
    Media name: "Electus Full Backup.bkf created 7/7/2007 at 2:40 PM"

    Volume shadow copy creation: Attempt 1.
    "MSDEWriter" has reported an error 0x800423f4. This is part of System State.
    The backup cannot continue.

    Error returned while creating the volume shadow copy:800423f4
    Aborting Backup.

    The operation did not successfully complete.

    Follow this KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912414 and change the sql
    service logon account, but still not ok.

    Any hints? Thanks for your help!
