Schedule a Windows 2003 reboot

Hi,

What is the easiest way to automatically reboot a windows 2003 server on a
certain day of the month? I tried to schedule shutdown.exe using the windows
scheduler but it did not work.

You can use a batch file, and schedule the batch file...

E.g.:

shutdown -r -t 1

Should have worked. Scheduled Tasks|Advanced|View Log may provide some
details. If the job connects to another machine you may need to add the
user/ group 'logon as batch job' rights (server side). Control Panel|Admin
Tools|Local Security Policy\Local Policies\User Rights Assignments
"Log on as a batch job"

If the task completes but the job does not then there is a problem in the
job itself. Remember that if it involves network resources to make sure the
user account has permissions to the resources and also use UNC paths as
mapped drives won't natively exist when no one is logged on.

i have schedule the bat file run at 11.45PM and shut down the windows 2003 server but it is not working. when i'm click on the bat file it is working.
please help me to schedule my shutdown bat file to be schedule.
