    SideBySide Errors

Just recently we have noticed on one of our servers a SideBySide error, which
is new to us. Here are a couple of the errors:

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: SideBySide
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 59
    Date: 1/30/2007
    Time: 12:43:19 PM
    User: N/A
    Computer: ........
    Description:
    Generate Activation Context failed for
    C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.VC80.MFC_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.42_x-ww_DEC6DDD2\MFC80.DLL.
Reference error message: The referenced assembly is not installed on your
    system.

    and

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: SideBySide
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 59
    Date: 1/30/2007
    Time: 12:43:19 PM
    User: N/A
    Computer: .........
    Description:
Resolve Partial Assembly failed for Microsoft.VC80.MFCLOC. Reference error
message: The referenced assembly is not installed on your system.

I take this as an application is trying to call upon this dll file but it
can't be found. If I browse to to destination in the first error message the
dll file is there. I have no idea which program is causing this but would
    like to get this fixed.

Is as simple as maybe registering the dll file or is there a hotfix for this
issue? If you need to know anymore information please ask and I will try to
supply you with as much as I can.

I've actually noticed the exact same issues on nearly all of our
servers! I've been ignoring it as other high priority stuff has
rolled across my desk, but its good to see someone else with the
issue. I'm interested to see what someone comes up with...

    RE: SideBySide Errors

Well, looks like you still don't have an answer. I've been receiving the
same error for months and can't seem to find an answer. the closest I've
came is an article by Junfena Ahang at
    http://blogs.msdn.com/junfeng/archiv...14/576314.aspx.

Still doesn't help. I'll post anything I find.
