Do "dnscmd /clearcache" and "ipconfig /flushdns" the exact same thing,
on a windows 2003 server?
What is the difference, if any?
TIA,

Hi there.
Ipconfig /flushdns will flush the local computer cache. And dnscmd
/clearcache will clear the dns server cache.
Meaning that with the first you will clear the "local" cache of the
server you work on. (Even if it is the dns server. It will NOT clear
the dns server cache.) While with dnscmd you will clear the dns server
cache.
best regards
