Mapping directory on UNIX server to drive on Windows 2008 box

Hi,

I need to map a folder on UNIX box to drive on my Windows 2008 Server system.

I've tried the following:
Z:\>net use H: \\PROD1\abc\Application\output\TargetFiles\APP /USER:XXX\yyyy

but got the following error:
System error 53 has occurred.
The network path was not found.

I can ping the UNIX server from Windows box, and I belive the target folder is shared.

What I am missing here?
I would appreciate your help.

Hello which error you are getting its related to the windows operating system error. basically this error occur at what time your File & Printer Sharing is not enable on a remote machine. and even check for the all firewall settings. and this will also appears if your windows operating system is not configured properly with the name resolutions. this is what i know about it. i hope this will help you to solve your issue.

I will check the sharing options on the remote server.
Could you please elaborate on "your windows operating system is not configured properly with the name resolutions?" I was able to ping the UNIX server from my Win system by Server name.
It should be enough to use the server name for mapping, right? Or I need to do something else?
