Windows Server 2008 as Proxy Server

Hi. I was wondering if someone could help me with some tips about my proxy
    server.

I'm new with Windows Server 2008 and want it to work as a proxy server for
my small network. I don't have much experience. This server is connected to
Internet by a USB-Modem and also has one network card available for
connecting the other computers from my network. When I try to configure the
Internet Explorer of these computers to connect through this proxy server, I
set it's IP number and the port 80, but the only thing I get when I open
Internet Sites is always the welcome page of the IIS. What should I do to
see the real pages/sites I'm looking for in Internet? Thanks a lot.

    Hello Auxiliaire,

How did you configure the 2008 as proxy?

    Best regards

I don't really know how to do that. I'm used to Windows NT and 2000 and not
to 2008. What am I supposed to do?
    Thank you for everything.

    Hello Auxiliaire,

MS has the ISA server which does the job. Any other version of windows doesn't
include a proxy, except the SBS version.

    Best regards

    Nt4.0/RRAS, Windows 200x/RRAS will produce a NAT Firewall,...not a Proxy
    Server.

MS's proxy/firewall combination product is ISA Server which ended with
ISA2006,...it is being re-branded as Threat Management Gateway (TMG) and is
part of the ForeFront Security Suite but will still be purchasable
standalone. ISA/TMG is a *Firewall* product that has the proxy
functionality added on top of the firewall functionality,...not the other
way around as the common "forklore" has it. ISA/TMG can be purchased in
either a PC form or a Hardware Appliance. The TMG included with Forefront
    is only an Appliance form.

SBS2003 Premium (only Premium) came included with ISA2000,...but when later
Service Packes were applied the SP contained ISA2004 that could upgrade the
    ISA2000.

ISA2006 will not run on SBS.

The next generation SBS is being completely redesigned, and I believe will
require multiple servers instead of being able to run on just one. I am not
sure what firewall implementation will be included with it. I am not an
    "SBS guy".
