    Wireless network group policy...no WPA2

I'm running SBS 2003 SP2. Im trying to setup a wireless network group
policy, but we are running WPA2 and there is no WPA2 option in the group
    policy.

Is there an update or hotfix?

Actually you need to create and deploy the policy from a wireless enabled
laptop or workstation with the latest NIC drivers that has support for WPA2
    (such as the Intel Centrino:
    http://www.intel.com/support/wireles.../cs-010623.htm ), as well as
the WPA2 update patch (WindowsXP-KB893357-v2-x86-ENU.exe). If you're an
admin, you can logon to the workstation or laptop, install the adminpak.msi
tools and the GPMC, and you're good to go.

    Hi Ace,

I am a little confused. All my clients are upgraded to XP SP3 so they all
have WPA2 compatibility. The problem is, some clients use the Windows client
and some use the Intel client. We want to switch all users over to the
Windows client so rather than explain to the users how to setup their
wireless options to use WPA2, PEAP, etc I wanted to just create a group
policy that has all the settings in it. Problem being the group policy does
not have an option for WPA2.

Nevermind my previous post, I understood what you meant. Download adminpack
and GPMC to my XP console. I did that, but still no WPA2 even on my XP
console which has WPA2 because I am connected to our WPA2 network right now.

The Schema must be extended to support it under AD. Sorry I didn't mention
that crucial step even with SP3!

Re: Wireless network group policy...no WPA2

Will that schema extension allow me to configure a WPA2 Wireless Network GPO
through GPMC on a XP SP3 machine?

Or do I NEED a Vista client in order to get the ability to setup a WPA2
    config in the GP?

I did it with an XP SP2 client. The Schema updates allows WPA2 no matter
what client. If you have a Vista client, compare the settings while viewing
a GPO with an XP client. I believe they will have the same options.
