How do I completely uninstall Windows Live OneCare ?

I want to know a way to fully remove the uninstalled security related software so that they dont show up everytime in the Security Center. So for that I tested with Windows Live OneCare and was forced to remove it for some reasons but when checked in Security Center then the OneCare still lists in the "Show me the firewalls on this computer" list. Also since I was on my corporate network I am not able to connect to it because I get message to re-enable my Onecard firewall first and then only it would work? Can anyone suggest me some solutions?

Could you please tell us which operating system are you using on your computer? You can try to download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, by searching it on the net, which is designed to remove installation information for programs that were added using Windows Installer. It cleans the installation files so that you can start again the installation, upgrade or cancel.

Re: How do I completely uninstall Windows Live OneCare ?

I am on Windows Vista and I have now removed the Windows Live OneCare normally from my computer and it is not listing anywhere in the Add and Remove area, there is also no folder of Windows Live OneCare that can be found on my system. In any case, I really appreciate your reply. Thank you.

There is a Windows Live OneCare install cleanup tool that can be downloaded from this link - http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...areCleanUp.exe . This tool was developed to cleanup both OneCare v1.1 installations (older) as well as the current version, and the tool works on both XP and Vista.
