    Your security settings do not allow websites to use ActiveX control

    Whenever i am trying to use microsoft update i am getting an error message saying "Your security settings do not allow websites to use ActiveX controls installed on your computer". I have made sure that activex controls is enabled but even after that i am getting same error message. I am just not able to update anything.

    Try below steps and see if you are getting any help.
    • Select Tools > Internet Options > Select Security > Custom Level button > Scroll down to Download signed ActiveX controls entry and select prompt radio button.
    • Now Scroll down to "Run ActiveX controls and plugins" and select enabled radio button.
    • Once you are done with the above changes Select OK to save , reboot your system and try using windows update again.
