After System Restore Windows Won't Detect Avast

After running system restore, Windows 7 won't detect my Avast Anti-Virus program, even though Avast is operating just fine.

Can you explain in more detail about the issue. Does Avast is not working or it is not detecting any virus. When you are performing system restore you must check the date of restore. If the date was prior to avast installation then it will remove the setup or avast files. You will need to re-install the entire virus software back again.

That might have been what I did, however a complete uninstall and reinstall solved the problem.
