http://localhost/certsrv doesn't work

I was able to setup IIS and CA on my Windows 2003 Server. When I try to access the server through typing http://localhost/certsrv in the browser I get server not accessible error. I had verified the service is started and it looks to be working quiet fine. I ahd also checked the folder inside IIS MMC. All looks to be working fine, but still not able to access the internal website. Is there a limit of installing CA standalone root server. Any settings on the same will be really very helpful. Thanks.

The error that you are getting is Service Unavailable. I will advice you to connect the same using DNS name and then see you are able to access the site or not. Do not use the local host on start and then check back. Also verify the settings and ensure that the site is listed under trusted site or local intranet site.

I will recommend you to take help on the same. There are some better documents available which has detailed information in configuration of IIS and CA. I think in your system your site fails to open due to security problem. Check that your site is not blocked. You can again start to setup it from scratch but this time refer a detailed guide.

go into your iis manger and bindings then add a cert to your 443 port.
