Missing Windows 2000 Pro Product Key

I had purchased Windows 2000 Pro some months ago. Due to some issue I lost the documentations which has the license key. I cannot find it anymore. I even lost the disc. I need some help to get the key back. My friend is having a CD of Microsoft Windows 2000. I can install that and activate it through my key. Does anyone knows how to find the key. Does it is located somewhere in the system.

The key is not stored in the system. I think you have to contact the retailer for that. He can provide you information on it. If you had purchased the key, then it will be still registered on your name. I am sure Microsoft might be having some kind of solution for that. Did you tried to contact them.
