Windows 2000 (Pro and Server) having services.exe error and rebooting

I am getting server.exe error on my Windows 2000 system. Everytime the system face the error and it shutdown. I am not able to work nor allowed to make any changes in the system. After checking the error properly I found that the issue lies with services.exe. I am not able to find the right solution for the same. I had performed some recent updates and after that things went bad. How can I switch the older settings back again. Thanks.

It looks like a virus to me. Scan your system. Services.exe does not looks like a component of Windows. I am doubtful about that. I think you must check thoroughly with the security application that you are having in your system. If that detects the virus then it will be capable for you to get your old settings back. Or else there is no way left other than formatting and re-installing each and everything in the system.
