Long promised to the Android Lollipop update on OnePlus One is now confirmed in the coming days.
OnePlus, the company behind the smartphone "One", offered at a reduced price (for who managed to obtain an invitation to buy it), announced the upcoming release of an update to switch from CyanogenMod 11 S to CyanogenMod 12 S based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Postponed several times, the update is now confirmed through a press release, it will intervene in the month of 30 March at the latest. The update will be offered automatically via the OTA mode.
Incidentally, OnePlus also mentions its own OS, born with Cyanogen. OxygenOS, also based on Android Lollipop, will be made available to users from 27 March.
Both updates are eagerly awaited and OnePlus agrees: the company says that if the announced dates were not met, it will offer 5 OnePlus One 64Gb each to user having posted a response on its forums by making the announcement.
OnePlus also indicated that the updates have taken longer than expected because they had encountered various problems. Lollipop has not been very stable, with the device camera. The WiFi also showed some problems.
