A new large PC monitor has been announced by the Philips brand.
This PC screen, the BDM3470UP model offers a diagonal of 34 inches and a ratio of 21:9 on an IPS panel. The data sheet also mentions a definition of 3440 x 1440 pixels resolution, a brightness level of 320 candelas per square meter, a static contrast ratio of 1000:1, a gray-to-gray response time of 5 milliseconds and angles vision open to 178 degrees.
In terms of connectivity, there are VGA, DVI, HDMI with MHL support (to connect the smartphone) and DisplayPort. A MultiView technology will display up to two sources simultaneously in PIP mode (secondary display in the corner) and PBP (area divided into two). It also counts two independent USB hubs: one with two USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ports for fast charging. Not forgetting to mention the mini-jack input for supplying an audio system of 2 x 3 Watts or a headphone output.
In terms of energy consumption, finally, it was announced less than 50 Watts in operation and less than 0.5 Watt in standby.
Aimed at the professional market, for uses such as content creation, the PC monitor Philips BDM3470UP will be sold at 1100 euros.
