Deep Silver has proposed the GNU/Linux and SteamOS compilation of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light games, confirming at the same time the minimum and required configurations to play on these architectures.

Available this summer, Metro Redux is as a compilation of games of Metro 2033 and Metro:Last Light from the 4A Games studio. This new edition offers improved graphics and a redesigned grip from earlier versions.

Available on PS4, Xbox One and PC, Metro Redux finally makes its appearance in the version of GNU/Linux and SteamOS, through the Steam download platform.

For the occasion, 4A Games has developed in-house title to get the best performance of PCs running a GNU/Linux distribution, with a point on the compatibility of drivers and OpenGL 4.0.

"It allowed us to offer a gaming experience similar to that proposed by the DX11 version of Windows, from the point of view of graphics performance, and it just was not possible when we realized the porting of original game of Metro: Last Light to Linux there is a year."
