The next Las Vegas electronics show will be an opportunity for manufacturers to unveil new technologies that will be imposed on the public in the months and years ahead. And LG will certainly have something to show customers with the Ultra HD TV for first time in unveiling a new screen of UHD 8K.

We mentioned it a few days ago that Samsung had announced its first TV on Tizen in the month of January. At LG, they will likely not build on a specific OS, but on technological change.

Since last year, manufacturers have amazed with screens OLED curved, this time LG wants to take the lead on Ultra HD that has a first OLED UHD 8K TV in planning.

The manufacturer should thus reveal a TV with a diagonal of 55-inches codenamed Mabinogion, displayed in a definition of 7680 x 4320 pixels resolution, for a total of 33.2 million pixels.

This UHD 8K screens have already been addressed by the manufacturers, but LG does not want to present a prototype, but rather a model whose marketing is imminent. As for Ultra HD 4K, it will probably take longer to happen content compatible with this definition. If some SVOD service have made efforts in this regard (for 4K), technical limitations concerning the bandwidth required is already crowding many users.
