The mid-range, Samsung is expected to release a series of Galaxy A smartphones. But the South Korean giant is also preparing a Galaxy S series small midrange smartphone.
With families like Galaxy Ace, Galaxy Grand, Galaxy Mega, Galaxy S and Galaxy Note, two new smartphones families are expected to emerge soon from Samsung. There is the family of Galaxy A already mentioned in our previous news and Galaxy E presented today.
Baptized as Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 but known through references as SM-E500F and SM-E700F, the first two midrange smartphones that should compose the subject of leaked technical data.
The Galaxy E5 would be based on a SoC Snapdragon 410, shipping and a 64-bit quad-core 1.2 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM and a modem of 4G/LTE up to 150 Mbit/s (category 4). It will also propose a 5-inch Super AMOLED display at 720p, camera sensors of 5 and 8 megapixels, a flash memory of 16GB expandable to a MicroSD, non-removable battery of 2300 mAh suggesting a metallic finish and Android Lollipop. All in a thickness of 6.9 mm and a weight of 140 grams on the scale.
The Galaxy E7 resumes the same Qualcomm SoC, but would differentiate with a 5.5 inch screen (with the same meaning), a 13 megapixel back camera sensor and a battery of 2950 mAh. All with a fineness of 7.2 millimeters.
Probably, we will get more news in early March, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
