Lenovo decided to go to the front with fellow Xiaomi by unveiling a smartphone called "K3" positioned below the 100 euros that offers a SoC 64-bit, 4G, a 5-inch screen and a large autonomy.

If the Chinese giant Lenovo has big market in the smartphone sector, it is not the only one. Its competitor Xiaomi said there is little that aims to become world number one next decade, surpassing the Samsung-Apple duo. Lenovo unveils its K3 smartphone, also known as by the codename Lemon because of its yellow finish, which is intended as a competitor to the front Redmi 1S of Xiaomi that flows like hotcakes. We have already seen a lot of sales from 40,000 in 4.2 seconds lately.

Announced to 599 yuan, the equivalent of 80 euros, this little mid-range uses a SoC Snapdragon 410 processor with 64-bit quad-core running at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB og RAM and modem of 4G/LTE offering speeds of Category 4 (up to 150 Mbit/s download). In front, it offers the former SoC Snapdragon 400 quad-core CPU with 1.6 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. No 4G connectivity, for cons.

It also offers a 5-inch IPS screen at 720p, camera sensors of 2 and 8 megapixels, a flash memory of 16 GB expandable with MicroSD and a battery of 2300 mAh providing up to 31 hours of calls. In front, it responds with a 4.7-inch 720p screen also, camera sensors of 1.6/8 megapixels, a flash memory of 8 GB and a 2000 mAh battery. As for the OS, it comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat wrapper with Vibe 2.0, facing a Android 4.3 Jelly Bean makeup of the overcoat of MIUI 5.0.

Lenovo K3 therefore is enough to meet the competitor of Xiaomi Redmi 1S, particularly with its latest platform and OS more up to date (though exceeded with the arrival of Lollipop). But things could change with the successor of Redmi 1S. It is clear that Xiaomi will soon fight back.
