The French company Archos will offer the 80 Cesium tablet at a small price powered by an Intel Atom processor and equipped with the Windows 8.1 operating system.

Appeared this year as part of a diversification strategy initiated at Archos, the range of Cesium mobile products in Windows environment grows. After 40 Cesium smartphone with Windows Phone 8.1 that we could discover at the general IFA in Berlin, it is a Cesium 80 tablet with Windows 8.1, which has just been unveiled by the French company.

Powered by an Intel Atom Z3735G quad-core processor clocked at 1.33 GHz to 1.83 GHz and 1 GB of RAM, this Archos 80 Cesium tablet has a diagonal of 8-inches in a definition of 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. It offers besides that wireless connections of Wi-Fi 802.11n/Bluetooth 4.0, camera sensors of 0.3 and 2 megapixels and flash memory of 16GB expandable to 128GB with a microSDXC support. It also houses a battery capacity of 4000 mAh. It is still unknown how much the autonomy is there accoring to the usage (surfing, video streaming, playing games, etc).

At the side of software and services it includes the tools provided by Microsoft for Office, messaging (Skype, with 60 minutes of calls per month for a year), Content (Xbox Music, Xbox Video and Xbox Games) and Storage in the Cloud (One Drive).

The information on the marketing of this Windows 8.1 tablet has not yet filtered but it can be expected at about 150 euros, knowing that a price of 149 dollars leaked.
