The manufacturer Asus announces the ZenFone 5 Lite smartphone. As the name suggests, this is a lighter version of ZenFone 5 model unveiled earlier this year at the CES in Las Vegas.

Coming with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and graphic overlay of ZenUI, the Asus ZenFone 5 Lite smartphone uses a dual-core Intel Atom Z520 1.2 GHz processor (against 2 GHz) supported by 1GB of RAM.

It offers an IPS 5-inch display in a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels (against 720 x 1280 pixels), two SIM slots, 3G+ compatibility to 42 Mbit/s, connections of Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/GPS, a camera sensor of 8 megapixel with LED flash on the back, a 0.3 Megapixel camera sensor on the front (against 2 megapixels) and a internal memory of 8 GB expandable to MicroSD card slot.

For the last feed, there is a battery capacity of 2500 mAh. This is the only point where there is a better upgrade since the original model was content to 2050 mAh.

It will cost the equivalent of a 124 dollars for this smartphone. Three finishes in white, black and red have been announced.
