The final version of Google Chrome 37 is now available online. It gives a standby Windows technology to offer a better font rendering on screen. Fifty security vulnerabilities - including a critical problem - are corrected and a lot of greenbacks distributed.

Google Chrome is available in 37 stable version for Windows, OS X and Linux. Nevertheless, the most important improvement for this version of the browser for users of Windows, with the exception of those who stayed in Windows XP.

For displaying text on the screen, Google Chrome abandons Graphics Device Interface, which dates from the end of 1985, benefiting DirectWrite. This API was introduced with Windows 7 and back-scope in Windows Vista SP2. In particular, it was adopted by Internet Explorer and Firefox since IE9 and Firefox 4.

DirectWrite uses hardware acceleration to speed up rendering fonts and improve regularity. The improvement will be subtle for ordinary users but some experienced eyes can see those. For Windows, it's also the arrival of support for high-DPI displays.

Note also a little new to the manager passwords with a new window that is available after entering a new password. Google also stresses many changes under the hood to improve stability and performance, while the menu for security is plentiful.

Google Chrome 37 is an opportunity to fill fifty security vulnerabilities. Google has paid $51,000 to reward third-party security researchers who identified and reported faults. More than half of this amount, or $30,000, returns to lokihardt @ASRT for a combination of bugs leading to a critical issue.

This chain of bugs in the JavaScript V8 engine, communications between processes, the tool to synchronize data and system extensions can lead to remote code execution outside the sandbox protection whose purpose is to isolate the rest of the Chrome operating system and computer storage.

The operation seems complex. Apart from hacking contest as Pwnium in anyway is one of the few cases where the critical level is decked out for a vulnerability - actually a combination of several vulnerabilities - in Chrome.
