The second CEO in the history of Microsoft has decided to leave the board of the group for which he remains the largest individual shareholder.

Steve Ballmer spent 34 years with the Remond firm and he was CEO for 13 years until his retirement in February 2014. He was the second boss in the history of Microsoft, after Bill Gates and before Satya Nadella, announcing Tuesday that he is leaving the board of the group.

Steve Ballmer is still running a Microsoft page and he remains the largest shareholder individually and expects to remain "in the near future." Suffice to say that man has any interest in the business for society as his successor announced a plan for 18,000 job cuts.

In a resignation letter, Steve Ballmer just brings support to Satya Nadella and resumes the watchword of the latter, "the mobile and cloud first", adding that "success requires going to the monetization by subscriptions of the company's gross margins equipment and advertising revenues."

Steve Ballmer

The resignation of Steve Ballmer from his seat on the board is effective immediately. The reason given by the person concerned is mainly due to its new work and a hectic schedule. He evokes that he is takeing over of the basketball team the Los Angeles Clippers and the resumption of the NBA season, as well as courses that will give new students, civic engagement and education.

With this second departure by Steve Ballmer, Satya Nadella should have even more freedom to act.
