The passage of the metal shell smartphones from Samsung could be done via the Galaxy Alpha whose presentation is expected on August 4th.

If Samsung remained on the plastic covers for its Galaxy S5 smartphone, the idea of a device with a metal shell is circulating since at least last year, in response to the One series of HTC. A family of Galaxy F has even been mentioned some time back.

Last week, a Samsung Galaxy Alpha with metal shell began to unveil features and images via the website SamMobile, arguing specifications halfway between the middle and high end.

The Galaxy Alpha could indeed have a 4.8-inch display with HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels), which changes the rumor of a screen 4.7" qHD screen described above, 32 GB of storage and a fingerprint reader, which could make some sort of Galaxy S5 Mini specific finishes.

The same website SamMobile says the Galaxy Alpha smartphone will be unveiled on August 4, 2014 ahead of IFA in Berlin, where it should also be presented with the Galaxy Note 4 phablet with the enticing features.

Samsung may have wanted to avert any concurrent announcement in August. We remember that in 2013, LG Electronics has introduced its Model LG G2 at the beginning of August, offering a nice visibility before the German technology fair.
