Prized for its handling, Microsoft Flight Simulator X, is preparing to make its return to the download platform Steam with a suitable multiplayer mode and some bug fixes.

Released in 2006 in its first version, Flight Simulator X is the flight simulator game reference from Microsoft. This license, originally established in 1982, is now in abeyance. However, a return is announced through the company Dovetail Games.

The latter, known for its work on the franchise Train Simulator, has reached an agreement with Microsoft to take on the adaptation of Flight Simulator X on the download platform Steam, according to information obtained through the website GameSpot.

For the occasion, the network code will be modified so that you can play multiplayer again. Indeed, the current version of the game is based on GameSpy, a solution that is no longer functional.

This adaptation does not contain any improvement since Dovetail Games has obtained an agreement to reissue the game on Steam. However, some bug fixes will be made ​​for the occasion. "We cannot make improvements," said the studio.

For now, no detail has been filtered on the future of Flight Simulator license if Dovetail Games will be retained by Microsoft to load any new components or not.
