HTC intends to make its HTC One M8 smartphone more affordable using a plastic body instead of an aluminum body. The price difference is significant and announced for those who are willing to forgo the premium finish.

If the aluminum finish and specifications of the HTC One M8 smartphone unveiled on March 25 have something very painful like 650-700 euros accompanying (for the 16GB capacity, knowing that there is a 32 GB capacity) then it may hurt a little. Especially at a time when we find models of lesser known brands, but worthily equipped for less than 400 euros, like the OnePlus One or Oppo Find 7.

That's why the Taiwanese manufacturer would consider a more affordable version of this new flagship. More specifically and according to initial reports circulating about it, the HTC One M8 smartphone would retain the same technical characteristics (quad-core processor supplied by Qualcomm, RAM 2 GB, 5-inch Full HD screen, dual digital camera at back and Android KitKat operating system), but with a plastic cover to lower the price for approximately 200 euros. Why not, after all, knowing that the plastic does not seem to put off more than that for the consumer with regard to the success of the flagships of Samsung. Would it be as strong? Easier to repair?

The goal for HTC would look more broadly so as to more easily reach 8-10% market share which it has set.
