The Toshiba brand has announced a new line of SSDs called HG6.

Based on MLC NAND house and 19 nm flash memory, HG6 line is available in sizes of 2.5 inch of 9.5 mm, 2.5 inch of 7 mm, mSATA, M.2 single face and M.2 double sided to take place in desktop configurations, in mobile configurations and ultra mobile configurations.

Four capacities of 60, 128, 256 and 512 GB are available, except for reference M.2 single face that offers "only" 128 and 256 GB.

As for performance, this HG6 range gives hope up to 482 MB/s sequential write and up to 534 MB/s sequential read. These peaks were measured with 2.5-inch 512 GB versions when connected to SATA 3.

For any model, consumption does not exceed 3.3 watts in operation and 0.65 watts in standby, while MTBF is announced for 1.5 million hours.

The new Toshiba SSD, which target both individuals and professionals, will be available from March. Their prices are not provided by the manufacturer.
